Persist and you WILL achieve
I once read the book: The greatest salesman in the world.
I wanted to share a quote written by Og Mandino.
“I am not on this earth by chance. I am here for a purpose, and that purpose is to grow into a mountain not to shrink to a grain of sand”
And before this statement he wrote: He who has never failed has never tried.
This is all just more “empowering” quotes for you people out there as well as myself.
Give yourself the chance and follow your dream
If your determination to succeed is strong enough you will never be overtaken by failure.
Persist and eventually you will be where you want to be, and walk the road you want to walk.

"Persist and eventually you will be where you want to be, and walk the road you want to walk."
It seems to me that the ultimate goal of anyone is to find peace and contentment in their lives. With this in mind, does it not make sense to make Here 'where you want to be'? Trying to get somewhere other than the Here and Now implies that there is some discontent with the here and now...what if the road you want to walk is the one you're walking right now?
Would this not be Heaven?
A Forgetful God
Hi Robin - Winston Churchill wrote: "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm" and indeed most successful entrepreneurs know that failure is a necessary part of the learning process to building a successful business. As Mandino says: "he who has never failed has never tried".
Yet most people judge failure as something bad. So how do we get out of that mindset and into the one which Churchill had?
If we can be in the present moment, as the teacher Eckhart Tolle suggests (see links on my blog) then we realise that we can find peace and fulfillment in simply being ourselves. Then we are able to drop our expectations for the future and our judgments of things as "good" or "bad", and what we thought of as "failure" no longer seems so important. It is just something else that "is". In seeing this, we take away the capacity of failure to hurt us and are able to carry on happily "with no loss of enthusiasm" just as Churchill described.
In such a state of consciousness, we are much more likely to achieve "success", though we no longer depend upon this for our happiness.

(Flippant comment): If you try to fail and succeed, what have you done?
(More serious comment):Write your goals down and, given the choice of two roads, take the interesting one.
And don't forget to thank your lucky stars that you are in America, where we are given the freedom to strive for whatever dream it is we have.
